Beach Party 2011

Hazel,
It has become somewhat a tradition that every year after Daddy is done with busy season we go to the beach as a family. Last year we did it, but you were probably too little to remember! This year we went with much anticipation as to how you would respond to the beach; the sand, the water, the seagulls, the sun (or rain, on any given Oregon coast day). Well, much to our delight, you absolutely loved it. You sat down and literally dug your toes in the sand! And your fingers weren't far behind in the exploring. You immediately watched the big waves, and wanted to be a part of that action. No fear. Honestly, none. You whined, and arched your back until we took you so close you could touch the water. We chased the waves and they chased us. We walked in the sand. We dug holes. We played with sticks. We watched sea lions play. We drove your little people jeep in the sand. We buried your sweet feet in the sand. We ate. We smiled. We were happy. The beach is one of our very favorite places to be, and we couldn't be happier that you feel the same!

We love you so very much!
