Beach Trip and More

Hazel,
You have had a couple of very busy weeks. Lots of visits from friends and family, especially your Aunt Alison and Nana. Today you are 18 days old! Such a big girl. Last week we went on a family trip to the beach. The weather was great most of the time, and you stayed warm and happy in the front pack with me. Henry came too. He loved running around on the beach and in the water. In the background of the picture of Daddy there are some sea lion pups!

Nana came down this weekend and we decided to take some fun pictures of you. You are just so cute!

You are changing and growing every day. At your two week appointment you weighed 8lbs 3oz and were 21 1/4 inches long. You are in the 46th percentile for weight and the 86th percentile for length. You are learning all sorts of new things too. You look all around, move your head when you hear our voices, and wiggle wiggle wiggle!

We love you so much and are so blessed to call you ours!

Tulip Festival

Dear Hazel,

Although we've been out of the house a bunch already, one of your first family fun trips was to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival last weekend. We had a great time, saw tons of beautiful flowers, ran into your delivery nurse Karin, who is wonderful, and sat with our friends, the Johnson's, for awhile! It was great to get out and do something fun as a family. Here are just a few of the pictures your daddy and I took!

Love,
Mom

Formatting Alert

You might notice a format change around these parts. I figure with the change in our lives of little Miss Hazel, this blog needs some updating too. Well, the title change is obvious! From here on out most posts are going to be letters from Erik and I, to Hazel. I want to be able to use the blog posts to make a scrap book of sorts and like this formatting idea.

Anyway, just thought I'd let you know!

First family walk. First family self photo.

Hazel's crib. She has parties at her crib, and a shirt that says so (thanks Aunt Alison and Anna).

A sunny day in April and a happy family.

Where's Hazel?

Hazel sleeps.

We love her more than anything.
