You are already five months old! You are acting like such a big girl in so many ways. Stories, oh man do you tell us some stories. Nana says you are just exploring how sound feels in your throat and mouth, but we are pretty sure you just have a ton to say! You love to laugh. And it's not just a little giggle anymore, it's a full on belly laugh. It happens most when Daddy chomps on your tummy or when Mommy plays peek-a-boo with you! You roll over like a maniac, and love being on your tummy. We got you a johnny jumper and you are figuring out how to make it bounce, which you love! Another fun new trend for you is putting everything in your mouth...seriously, everything! You are so good at grabbing things now, so putting stuff in your mouth is easy! Your hand, our hands, your toys, your clothes, you even try to grab our food to put in your mouth. I think maybe you are ready for some solids! Junie B. and Henry are your favorite things to watch, especially Henry. You will stare at him if he's running around like crazy or even if he's just lying next to you.
I do realize your feet are fuzzy in this one, but it's true to your busy body self right now!
This has been a big month for another reason too. Mommy went back to work which means you now spend most days with the Purnells. Although Mommy and Daddy wish we could play together all day long, we can't, and the next best thing is that you get to play with such wonderful friends! We knew it would be great, but it made Mommy so happy when she picked you up the first day and Bo and Colby couldn't stop talking about how cute and fun you were. Bo told his mommy you were beautiful and Colby did not stop saying good-bye and waving out the window until you and Mommy were in the car! We are so thankful that you get to be a part of their family!
These pictures were taken on another big day...the first time you were sick. You are such an awesome baby...even though you still weren't feeling great, you smiled and smiled for some pictures! You were fine all day and then at your night feeding you ate most of your bottle with Daddy, sat up to burp, and puked all over you, Daddy, the chair, and the floor. Mommy and Daddy were in shock! I think it scared you too. It was sad to see you so sad, but in true Hazel style as soon as you were done, you were as happy as can be. Maybe a little more tired, but still happy! You threw up again one more time late that night, so Daddy stayed home with you the next day. He took such good care of you, you were feeling much better by the time Mommy got home from her first day of school. Less than a week later you got your first cold. You are such a trooper, but it's still hard to see you uncomfortable.
We can't believe you are already five months, the time really does fly by.
We love you so much big girl!
