Two Months

Hazel,
Happy two month birthday!! I can't believe it's been two months. You are getting so big so fast! You weigh 12 pounds 6 ounces now. Some of your favorite activities are smiling, cooing, talking to everyone (especially your Nana), watching Henry, sticking your tongue out, watching the mobiles on both your bouncy seat and swing, and making everyone around you happy!

We just discovered you like the mobiles, and it has been a wonderful discovery! Mommy and Daddy now get to eat dinner together while you smile at those monkeys. Don't hold me to it, but I might try to make a mobile for over your crib!

You have done this for about a month, but you still do and I think it is hilarious! We play a game where we take turns sticking our tongues out at each other. I will stick my tongue out and say "there's mommy's tongue, where's Hazel's tongue" and then you will stick your tongue out! Then you pull it back in and look at me as if to say "there's Hazel's tongue, where's mommy's tongue"!!

You are starting to sleep more at night. You usually sleep for 4-5 hours at least once, and then do 3-4 hours after that! That makes us so happy (and rested)!

We love you more and more every day!

Memorial Day Beach Trip

Hazel,

We spent the night at the beach this weekend. We stayed in a tiny house with one bedroom, and it was wonderful! You did such a great job staying somewhere new. We took lots of walks on the beach, ate good food (well, Daddy and I did, you enjoyed your formula), visited the Tillamook Cheese Factory (twice, for the ice cream) and spent some good quality family time together! Henry loved the beach, he played in the water the whole time!

We love the beach!

I Heart Bathtime

Hazel,
You weren't a huge fan of baths at first, but you love them more and more every time! You were an especially happy girl on this day!

I can splash

I can smile

I can find Daddy

I can laugh and coo

I love baths!

And we love you!

Visiting

Hazel,
We have visited a lot of friends lately, you are such a social butterfly! We had a fun visit with Nana, Grandpa, Great Grandma, and Great Grandpa last weekend. They all love you so much and held you the whole time! Great Grandma even fed you! Here are some pictures. I realized that we don't have a lot of pictures of you with Nana, I think it's because she's always taking pictures of you, but here is one from awhile ago, and we will make sure to get more!

Grandpa has a goofy smile, but he sure loves holding you, and you sure love it too!

You and Great Grandpa

Great Grandma (GG) feeding you!

They love you! GG said she took your birth announcement to church and showed everyone!

You and Nana at a book signing (which is a story in and of itself)!

You have such a wonderful family!

Weekly Pictures

Hi Hazel!

One of my friends gave me the idea to take pictures of you in the same place every week so we can watch you grow and change! We have the one week picture, but it's on Daddy's computer, so we'll have to add it later. Here are weeks 2-6. It is so fun to watch how much you have turned in to your own person with your own personality!

Seven Weeks

You are six weeks old now, almost seven (seven week picture added later...notice the dimples)! You are getting more and more fun every day. This week you started to smile at us! We love it and spend all of our time trying to make you smile. It's so cute, you squint your left eye mostly closed, open your mouth and smile ever so slightly. You are even starting to coo while you smile! We love it all!

Last week you and I went to a mommy and me group at Meridian Park Hospital, where you were born. We got to meet other moms and babies your age. You slept the entire time, but I really enjoyed it! I'm sure this week you'll be the life of the party!

Speaking of sleeping, you are really getting into a good sleeping pattern. You started sleeping in your crib at night time this week, and you seem to love it! You are sleeping 3-4 hours between feedings and usually only wake up to eat. Last night you woke up a little more than usual, we hope you are feeling okay!

We have gotten to visit even more friends, and everyone says how cute you are and what a good baby you are! You love being held by anyone and rarely fuss!

We love you tons and love to watch you grow!
