Right now

* I am almost 30 weeks pregnant.

* Hazel has started to move with purpose and force. This girl can roll, kick, and punch with the best of them! It has been so amazing to feel (and see) more substantial movements.

* I love hearing Erik talk to our baby girl, telling her stories of what is to come.

* Decorating her room has become a new favorite hobby (read obsession).

* My back hurts. I know, I'm pregnant what do I expect, but it's true.

* We still have a lot of organizing to do before she arrive. Thanks Alison, for pointing out the stuff on the bed!

* More than anything, my curiosity is growing. I'm continually wondering something about how our lives will change in just over two months. What does she look like? Who does she look like? What will she smell like? How much will she eat, sleep, poop? How fast will she have us wrapped around her finger? Will all of my training with kids work at all with my own child? How fast can I fall in love with her?

* There are so many changes on the horizon, it's hard to settle into my life today.

* I am thankful and blessed!

Hazel's hats

She is one loved little girl. Just look at her hat collection!

I love the variety, but mostly I love that people who will love her made these for her!

Thanks all you hat makers!

27 weeks

Some pictures from 27 weeks. I feel great overall, just getting used to a bigger belly. Hard to believe I'm almost in my third trimester. She'll be here before we know it! These were taken in Hazel's room. We still have some decorating to do, but the room is painted, and the crib and changing table are in.

Old Friends...

And friends to be! Amy and I got one last pre-baby coffee date before she has her baby girl sometime in the next couple of weeks. So fun to think of all of the baby outings to come! Can't wait for these little girls to meet.
Yes, we have the same diaper bag (in different colors), and yes, we are using them before we have babies. Hey, we needed a practice run!

Pacific City

We spent a couple of days in Pacific City with my mom and dad, Alison, and Hannah and Ty the week of Christmas. The weather was amazing. Really...I've been to the coast quite a few times, in quite a few different seasons, and this was perhaps the most beautiful weather I've seen outside of the two days a summer it's over 65 degrees! Hannah and Ty just got a new camera, so it was great to have a picture taking buddy!

The first three were taken on our exploration up the coast north of Pacific City.

These two were taken the second night during the best sunset ever. It was incredible. The bright pinks, oranges, and blues were amazing!

Alison, Hannah, and I had fun writing in the sand!

And some people pictures to round out the trip!

Mom and Dad, we love you and hope you had as much fun as we did! Merry Christmas!

So Erik gets all the credit for the next two. He went for a run early in the morning and saw this Golden Eagle, ran back to the house, grabbed the camera and was able to get these pictures. I can't believe how close he got to the bird. What a huge animal! Great pics babe.

Where did December go?

We have had a wonderful and busy December. We were able to spend time decorating for Christmas, looking at Christmas lights, celebrating with family, and celebrating Erik's birthday! Here are just a handful of pictures from our month. We were able to spend time with my family at the beach for a few days before Christmas, but I will post more about that later.

Erik cutting down our tree. Turns out it is a big one!

The Hemry fam.

A little fun at the big family white elephant gift exchange. Who doesn't want used goggles?!

More gift exchange and picture taking fun!

We hope you enjoyed the holidays too!

Baby Photo Shoot

We are having a GIRL! We could not be more excited. We had our ultrasound on Friday. It was such an incredible experience to get to see her move all around and see all of her little working parts. We were just as thrilled to find out that everything looks great and she should (according to the hundreds of measurements they took) be a healthy baby girl come April!

Here are just a few pictures from her first photo shoot.
The first two are profile shots, the third is her little foot!

We think she's adorable already, then again we may be just a bit biased!
