Chicago - Part Two

Hazel,
Here are the rest of the pictures from our Chicago trip! More pictures of the bean!

Another fun thing we did was rent bikes and ride all over the park and waterfront. We got to see this great fountain!

We also went on an Architecture Tour on the river. It rained-poured- for the first 75 of the 90 minute tour. But the last 15 minutes were beautiful! And it was a fun story that we sat on the deck of the boat with ponchos and umbrellas for so long! Despite the crazy weather, we had a great time!

One of the last things we did is meet up with Isaiah and go to the Art Institute of Chicago. We got to see tons of great art!

Hazel, we were so lucky to go on such a fun trip. When you are bigger, we will have to take you! Thank you to Nana and Papa for taking such great care of you!

We love you,
Mommy and Daddy

Chicago - Part One

Hazel,
Mommy and Daddy got to go to Chicago this year. You had a ton of fun playing with Nana, Papa, Aunt Al, and Max while we were having fun in Chicago. Daddy had a conference for work, but then we got to have lots of fun and Aunt Hannah and Uncle Ty even came to visit too! We did so many really great things and there are a ton of pictures!

The morning after we got in we went to Navy Pier. There is so much to see and do on Navy Pier, but we decided to just ride the ferris wheel and walk to the end of the pier. It was so hot this day! We had such a great view from the top of the ferris wheel!

That afternoon mommy walked around town while daddy worked. I found this amazing old building right in the middle of the Magnificent Mile! I loved the contrast of the old and the new.

That night we walked to Lou Malnati's for yummy Chicago Style Pizza and a great chopped salad.

The next day daddy had to work again, so I walked all over and found the bean! Such a fun statue! Can you find mommy in the bottom picture? After the bean I found this great grocery store, Fox & Obel, where I sat and read and had a yummy Orangina!

Aunt Hannah and Uncle Ty came, so we got to walk around town with them! We found this huge statue of Marilyn Monroe right next to the Chicago Tribune building. Daddy thought he was pretty funny!

The next day we had such a great time. We went to a Cubs game at Wrigley Field! As you can see, most of us had to get new shirts to show our support! Such fun to be at Wrigley and watch the Cubs!

That was the first half of our fun trip...the rest is in the next post!
We love you,
Mommy and Daddy

Aunt Al Graduates

Hazel,
Like I mentioned in the last post, we are so lucky to have Aunt Al! She is so great, and earlier this year she graduated from Western Oregon University! We are so proud of her. Mommy's camera was out of batteries, but Aunt Hannah took lots of fun pictures. We had so much fun celebrating Aunt Al and all of her hard work. We are so excited for her new adventures in grad school! She will do great!

I can't believe that one day (a long long time from now) we will be celebrating you graduating from college!

We love you,
Mommy and Daddy
